In the future the TGV line will cross through Portugal dividing the populations of the urban and rural territories. Our proposal consists in the construction of bridges or tunnels through standard fiberglass modules, conjugated as an authentic plumbing. Infinite forms of bridges and tunnels are created throughout the TGV line, thus creating a continuous image along the new infrastructure.

Fiberglass prefabrication
The future line divided the populations of both urban and rural territories. It was important to design a solution that could adapt to different contexts and maintain a unified image. Our proposal consists of building pedestrian bridges using pre-fabricated fiberglass modules, combined like authentic plumbing and supported by a steel structure. At the same time, these same modules are used in buried crossings, serving as formwork lost to the concrete containment.
The solution allows you to create infinite shapes depending on the situation in which you find yourself. Therefore, we called the project “Tuboflex” and the proposal won first prize in the competition in 2004.
The crossings thus resolved the ruptures throughout the territory, creating a continuous image along the TGV route.
