The condition for the construction of a Municipal Library in the park was to permit the public use of the surrounding green space and at the same time keep the identity of that park. We designed a library buried in the park and lightened by patios on a lower level. We access the library by a small glass volume on the surface. While some read in the lower patios under the sun, others relax on the surface over the green cover.

The architectural project
From the green exterior, only a small volume is visible, which is the entrance to the building. The library rooms are divided by themes and ages. The service areas have a separate entrance at street level. A central path structures the green park. Precisely below this corridor is the central corridor of the library. While some read in the sun on the patios, others flirt on the surface under the green cover.
