Our architects were contacted to design the rehabilitation and restoration of a traditional and historical house in Moreira da Maia, Oporto outskirts, in Portugal. These masonry and timber structures require technical skills that we are proud to own. The building is protected and is currently municipal heritage. Recovery presupposes the reconversion of space to the needs of a modern family today. The interiors have been totally refurbished and the exterior undergoes extensive maintenance works. The preserved and restored heritage is in fact the perfect luxury house example.

Restoration of historic houses
The rehabilitation and restoration of listed houses today requires the presence of an architect. At the same time, both the City Council and the General Directorate of Culture require the submission of an architectural project. At the same time, during construction, we must take special care to maintain the characteristics of the property. However, owners stay away from these processes because of the cost of labor and the difficulty in making changes. Heritage is often left abandoned.
In this project, we designed spaces with the necessary capabilities for the needs of a modern family today. We designed the total renovation of the interiors and prepared the specifications for the exterior maintenance works.
Ultimately, the perfect luxury home is preserved and the heritage is restored.
